Bob Stelter joined the staff at the Nebraska Alumni Association late in 2000 to market and sell memberships in the Nebraska Champions Club after seven years in retail management. In his current role as program director, Stelter continues working with the Champions Club and also works with the association’s alumni chapter program, handling tickets, policies and procedures and other operational duties.

A California native, Bob enrolled at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln to compete for the gymnastics team in 1986 and graduated in 1990. During those years, the Huskers won two NCAA team titles and posted two runner-up finishes. Bob competed internationally for Team USA, finishing his athletic career in 1992 at the Olympic Trials. In 1993, he earned an MBA from UNL.

Prior to arriving at UNL, Bob enjoyed a unique opportunity utilizing his gymnastic skills by working as a stunt person in the 1983 movie version of “The Twilight Zone.”  Married in 1993, Bob and his wife, Pam, have two children, Maggie and Clark who are both involved in music and athletics. Outside the office, Bob and Pam volunteer their time and effort locally for a national ministry, Family Life, to promote strong marriages and families.  The Stelters enjoy family trips to state parks, biking, reading and roasting s’mores in their outdoor fire pit.
